Salary: USD 110,000 - 140,000 / annual

You will own and elevate the recruiting function from the ground up, serving as a core member of the People & Culture team. This role sits at the intersection of strategy and execution—you'll shape how Self attracts, evaluates, and welcomes talent while managing day-to-day recruiting operations and partnering closely with hiring managers across the business.
Key responsibilities include:
- Own the full recruitment lifecycle end-to-end: intake, sourcing, evaluation, offer, and handoff to onboarding
- Develop and execute proactive, strategic sourcing plans to build strong talent pipelines, including for technical and specialized roles
- Partner with hiring managers to understand team needs, define role requirements, and align on hiring strategy
- Manage and optimize the recruiting tech stack (Greenhouse, LinkedIn, Built In, Glassdoor, HackerRank, Checkr) and evaluate additional tools
- Shape and strengthen employer branding to attract top talent in a competitive market
- Design and continuously improve hiring processes, interview frameworks, and candidate experience
- Ensure seamless coordination between recruiting and onboarding for new hires
- Contribute to broader People & Culture initiatives and projects as needed
- Build scalable hiring processes in anticipation of future growth

REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of talent acquisition experience with proven track record of managing full-cycle recruiting
- Technical recruiting experience—comfort sourcing and evaluating candidates for engineering or other technical roles
- Strong knowledge of recruiting best practices, sourcing techniques, and interviewing methods
- Experience with vendor management and optimizing recruiting tools and processes
- Strong relationship-building skills and ability to partner effectively with hiring managers across departments
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Strong analytical and reporting skills with ability to provide data-driven insights and recommendations
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, startup environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Comfort and curiosity with AI tools; company is AI-forward and encourages using AI to work smarter
- Openness to taking on additional People & Culture projects and evolving responsibilities
- Based in Austin, TX or willing to relocate and work in-office Tuesday through Thursday
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder
