Shield AI is seeking a Senior Talent Acquisition Partner to establish and lead the company's first recruiting presence in Ukraine. Based in Kyiv, you will partner with Shield AI's global Talent Acquisition team and hiring leaders to build exceptional technical and non-technical teams across Kyiv and Lviv.
You will own the complete recruitment lifecycle, from pipeline development through offer acceptance. Your responsibilities include sourcing candidates through both traditional and non-traditional channels—leveraging LinkedIn Recruiter, local Ukrainian job boards, veteran networks, industry communities, professional referrals, and events. You'll develop deep understanding of team hiring needs and create targeted recruiting strategies to match candidates with roles where they'll succeed.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage full recruitment lifecycle for technical and non-technical positions
- Source candidates beyond standard channels using local job boards, Ukrainian veteran networks, industry communities, and professional networks
- Partner with hiring managers to understand needs and develop recruiting strategies
- Collaborate with People & Culture partners on hiring alignment, internal mobility, and consistent hiring practices
- Screen and engage high-quality talent using LinkedIn Recruiter and other sourcing tools
- Build and maintain talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs
- Guide candidates through the entire interview process from outreach through offer acceptance
- Provide hiring managers with market insights, pipeline updates, and recruiting recommendations
- Deliver exceptional candidate experience while representing Shield AI's mission and values
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3–6 years of experience in technical recruiting
- Demonstrated experience sourcing candidates outside standard channels (e.g., LinkedIn)
- Experience recruiting within defence, aerospace, autonomy, or advanced technology sectors
- Strong sourcing skills using LinkedIn Recruiter and other recruiting platforms
- Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS); Ashby experience is a plus
- Fluent in Ukrainian and English
- Experience sourcing engineering talent
