STOKE Space is building Nova, a fully reusable launch vehicle designed for daily flight to radically lower space transportation costs and increase launch cadence. As a System Architect, you will be a core member of a small, agile team developing architecture concepts and system requirements for future iterations of Nova. You will translate customer objectives and business goals into feasible technical concepts, performing first-order analysis and trade studies to evaluate and downselect concepts for further development. Working across multiple technical disciplines, you will make estimates of mass, power, cost, and performance despite limited information and significant uncertainty. Key responsibilities include: - Developing conceptual system architecture, concept of operations (ConOps), and functional capabilities aligned with customer and business objectives - Defining system requirements, product breakdown structures, and decomposing requirements to lower-level products - Quickly making assumptions and performing first-order analysis to validate them and generate performance estimations from limited data - Defining system-level approaches to reliability, performance margin management, and incremental capability development - Supporting products through the full lifecycle: detailed design, integration, test, and operations - Providing cross-system technical insight and subject matter expertise to identify and mitigate risks In collaboration with Nova product development teams, you will support implementation of architecture concepts into real hardware, learn from integrated testing and flight operations, and translate those lessons into future improvements. The role requires the ability to stay focused, move fast, self-direct, and learn continuously in a mission-driven, collaborative environment.
