MyHeritage is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to lead security initiatives across corporate systems, cloud infrastructure, and AI-enabled environments. This role owns security strategy and implementation across identity and access management, endpoint security, SaaS/cloud platforms (particularly AWS), network security, and emerging AI security risks.
Key responsibilities include designing and implementing practical security controls that balance risk reduction with business velocity; owning the security review and approval process for AI tools and autonomous agents; defining security requirements and guardrails for AI adoption; evaluating new technologies and architectures; leading complex security projects from assessment through implementation; and collaborating with IT, Infrastructure, DevOps, R&D, Legal, and business teams.
The ideal candidate brings 7+ years of hands-on security engineering experience, with proven track record implementing and operating security controls in production environments and independently leading complex security initiatives across multiple technical teams. Required technical expertise includes identity/access management (SSO, MFA, privileged access, least privilege), endpoint security (EDR, device hardening, endpoint privilege management), SaaS and cloud security, network security and Zero Trust principles, security monitoring and incident investigation, security automation via scripting/APIs, and understanding of AI security risks. Application security and CI/CD security experience is advantageous.
