Instructure, a learning platform company approaching $1B in ARR, is seeking an SVP of Marketing to lead the full global marketing function as a true commercial engine. This is a senior commercial leadership role—not brand stewardship or campaign management—for an experienced marketer ready to own marketing strategy and execution at scale.
You will report to the President of Global Commercial Organization and sit alongside Sales and Customer Success leadership. You will lead a multi-disciplinary marketing organization spanning lifecycle marketing across three major business segments (Higher Education, K-12, International), brand and creative, communications, and web/digital. You will also directly own marketing strategy and execution for the BizGov segment.
Key responsibilities include: setting enterprise marketing strategy to drive awareness, pipeline, and growth across all segments and markets; owning pipeline contribution targets and holding teams accountable to commercial outcomes; evolving the Instructure brand narrative to be a commercial accelerant; leading international marketing expansion; directly managing BizGov segment marketing; leading six direct reports and building a high-performing marketing organization; representing marketing at the executive and board level; and continuously optimizing for ROI through data-driven investment decisions.
Success in year one means measurable increases in product preference and pipeline generation among target audiences, a sharper and more differentiated brand narrative landing consistently across segments, stronger international marketing strategy and execution, high-performing direct reports, and earned credibility with Sales and Customer Success leadership through results.
Required qualifications: 10+ years in B2B SaaS marketing with meaningful experience at companies of $300M+ ARR; demonstrated ownership of pipeline generation with QBR experience and revenue accountability; experience leading multiple marketing functions simultaneously and building leaders; international marketing experience across multiple geographies; track record of brand and positioning work that drove commercial outcomes; executive presence and communication skills for board-level and sales contexts. A mission-driven orientation toward education is a plus.
