You will lead end-to-end supply chain operations spanning Purchasing, Logistics, Shipping & Receiving, and Inventory Management. As Supply Chain Manager, you'll develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals, driving operational efficiency, inventory control, and timely product/service availability. You'll manage the Purchasing department, overseeing all purchased products and services including raw materials, hardware, finished goods, outside processes, and miscellaneous supplies. You'll lead, train, coach, and develop Purchasing personnel to support their career growth.
Day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing procurement activities, providing support on sourcing decisions, tactical input, and problem-solving. You'll establish and maintain procurement processes, procedures, work instructions, and standard work, adapting them as the business grows. You'll oversee Shipping and Receiving operations, ensuring accurate, timely, and well-documented inbound and outbound material flow, including dock-to-stock processes, receiving inspection coordination with Quality, carrier and freight relationships, and outbound shipment scheduling.
You'll manage kitting operations to support production schedules and customer orders, ensuring kits are accurate, complete, and delivered on time. You'll own inventory accuracy as a core performance metric, driving cycle counting programs, periodic physical inventories, and root-cause analysis for discrepancies in partnership with Production and Quality. You'll serve as the Subject Matter Expert for procurement functions and job transactions within the ERP system (SyteLine experience strongly preferred).
Additional responsibilities include overseeing customs compliance and international trade activities, managing the broader supply base through sourcing and supplier performance monitoring, maintaining the Approved Supplier List in accordance with AS9100 Quality Management System, and negotiating supplier contracts. You'll identify and implement opportunities for strategic sourcing and cost reduction, support ecommerce operations by coordinating inventory availability and order fulfillment, and champion a Lean/Continuous Improvement mindset companywide. You'll collaborate across functions with Production, Account Management, Sales, Quality, and logistics/customs brokers.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or related field; 10+ years of relevant supply chain experience; functional knowledge of procurement regulations, market trends, shipping/receiving, warehouse operations, logistics, and carrier management; customs compliance and import/export experience required; ecommerce experience preferred; Lean/Continuous Improvement experience (particularly TPS-based systems) a plus; proven leadership ability to influence cross-functional teams and develop talent; strong communication skills and emotional intelligence; comfort with ERP systems (SyteLine strongly preferred), ecommerce platforms, supplier portals, and applicable tools; strong problem-solving and analytical skills; ability to manage time and workspace efficiently despite frequent interruptions and multitasking.
