Destinus is revolutionizing the defense industry with cutting-edge Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) designed for modern defense operations. As Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be the guardian of excellence across the supply chain and production floor, ensuring every component meets our exacting aerospace and defense standards.
You will develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance procedures and supplier quality strategies aligned with aerospace and defense requirements (ISO 9001, AS9100, and defense standards). Key responsibilities include leading supplier audits and assessments, monitoring supplier performance, tracking non-conformances, and driving corrective and preventive actions. You will investigate root causes of production or supplier issues, define process improvements, and establish quality KPIs to report trends and risks to management.
You'll collaborate closely with Procurement, Engineering, and Production teams to qualify new suppliers and support supplier development. You will conduct FAI (First Article Inspection), FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), PPAP (Production Part Approval Process), and PQP reviews to ensure all parts and processes meet standards. Maintaining clear documentation of inspections, control plans, and quality management system records is essential. You will support customer and regulatory audits, ensuring compliance across all supply chains, and champion continuous improvement and Lean initiatives.
This is a hands-on role where you'll be equally comfortable inspecting parts on the production floor as auditing suppliers globally. You'll spot issues before they escalate and take pride in solving complex quality problems.
