Orca Bio is a commercial-stage biotechnology company developing next-generation cell therapies to improve outcomes for patients with blood cancer. The company operates a state-of-the-art 100,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Sacramento, CA, dedicated to producing purified, high-precision cell therapies that aim to replace patients' blood and immune systems with healthy ones while minimizing risks like graft-versus-host disease.
The Supervisor, Quality Assurance will oversee day-to-day QA team activities supporting manufacturing and quality control operations at this facility. This is a people-management role responsible for leading a team that performs real-time record review of production records, equipment logbooks, and QC documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory standards, internal procedures, and quality expectations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing direct leadership and guidance to the QA team
- Driving a culture of continuous improvement, compliance, and operational excellence
- Ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and internal quality procedures
- Collaborating across the site to provide real-time manufacturing support
- Supporting issue resolution and documentation
- Overseeing quality control operations that are critical to advancing the clinical pipeline and supporting future commercial availability of life-saving therapies
The role operates on a swing shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM. This position is essential to maintaining the reliability and consistency of Orca Bio's cell therapy manufacturing operations.
