VEIR is a designer and manufacturer of superconducting power delivery systems for AI data centers, founded in 2019 and headquartered in Woburn, Massachusetts. The company delivers ~10× higher power density than conventional options, enabling rapid deployment of power infrastructure for the AI era.
The Principal Technical Program Manager owns end-to-end execution of VEIR's product development lifecycle, from ideation through at-scale production and deprecation, against the company's Product Development Process (PDP Phases 0–6). This is the most technically senior program management role at VEIR.
Key responsibilities include:
• Own integrated product development schedules, defining milestones, dependencies, and critical path across engineering, product management, supply chain, manufacturing, quality, and operations.
• Lead Technical Project Managers and set the technical program management standard company-wide. This is an active, challenging function—not a reporting role. The Principal TPM backs TPMs when they push on plans that don't hold up and escalates when functional leads resist necessary challenges.
• Ensure Exit Gate readiness by confirming deliverable requirements are defined cross-functionally, tracking completion, and identifying gaps before gates close.
• Drive accountability for integrated schedule execution, identifying and resolving cross-functional interdependencies that determine whether milestones are hit.
• Own investigation and recovery when tests fail or programs miss, ensuring investigations converge and credible recovery plans close out issues.
• Challenge engineering trade-offs on their merits and see how decisions in one discipline cascade three functions downstream.
• Manage the technical program management function as a strategic, proactive discipline that shapes product execution and organizational rigor.
The role requires deep technical knowledge to challenge engineering decisions, broad systems thinking to understand cross-functional impact, and leadership capability to drive accountability across the organization.
