Rubrik is seeking a Strategic Sales Engineer to join its sales organization in the Seattle region. In this role, you will provide technical leadership and business guidance to the regional sales team, driving pipeline generation, customer demonstrations, and proof-of-concept engagements. You will evangelize, position, and architect Rubrik's Data Resilience, Observability, and Remediation tools to new and existing customers throughout the Northwest Region.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing technical leadership and direction to customers and internal staff in developing integrated technology solutions for pre-sales activities
- Demonstrating technical expertise on Rubrik's products, distributed architectures, file systems, and competitive storage offerings in the SAN product space
- Acting as a technical expert and consultant to develop solutions meeting customer technology and business requirements
- Making technical and sales presentations to customer technical staff and senior management
- Serving as a trusted technology advisor to customers and an internal resource on technical issues within assigned market segments
- Building relationships with account teams, partners, and customers in support of sales objectives
- Leading technical sales calls and qualifying sales opportunities in terms of technical requirements, competition, decision-making processes, and funding
- Driving innovative technical programs and overseeing day-to-day account-level activities alongside Account Executives
You will work within Rubrik's unified sales organization, which helps companies and government entities achieve resilience against cyberattacks, malicious insiders, and operational disruptions. Required qualifications include 5+ years of sales engineering experience preferably in software or data center environments, fundamental breadth of technical knowledge in cloud data management, backup and disaster recovery, and data analytics. The ideal candidate is driven, entrepreneurial, resourceful, thrives in fast-paced environments, and demonstrates strong communication and presentation skills.
