Veeam Software, the Data and AI Trust Company, is seeking a Strategic Account Manager to drive large deals within the Inside Sales organization across the US East Region. The role focuses on increasing deal sizes, accelerating sales cycles, and executing solution-based selling to achieve high performance. You will work with mid-market and large commercial accounts, leveraging Veeam's extended product portfolio including Veeam Data Cloud, TAM, and Coveware, while utilizing pricing frameworks such as Enterprise License Agreements (ELAs).
Key responsibilities include developing strategies to increase average deal size through needs assessment and identifying upselling/cross-selling opportunities; building and maintaining strong relationships with C-suite contacts throughout the customer lifecycle; conducting face-to-face meetings to understand client needs and present tailored solutions; and maintaining deep product knowledge of Veeam software solutions and partner ecosystem. You will negotiate favorable pricing and business terms with large enterprises by demonstrating value, total cost of ownership, and ROI. The role requires 50% travel for customer and partner meetings.
Additional responsibilities include developing comprehensive account relationship maps for your territory, ensuring robust sales forecasting accuracy, maintaining channel partner relationships to identify new opportunities, and serving as Veeam's advocate within enterprise organizations while advocating for customer needs internally. You will prepare executive-level presentations, proposals, and documentation, and assess market needs and competitive landscape while following defined selling processes.
The ideal candidate has 3-4 years of sales experience with a proven track record in mid-market and large commercial accounts within software, security, and storage industries, with established C-level relationships. A Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field is required. You must demonstrate strong prospecting methodology and pipeline-building capabilities, experience introducing new product solutions, creative problem-solving skills, and business acumen. Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills are essential, along with proficiency in Salesforce.com and data intelligence tools for account relationship mapping. Knowledge of channel partner ecosystems is highly desired. The role requires residency in the US East region, with preference for candidates in major metro areas (Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Jacksonville, Orlando, Tampa, Atlanta, Raleigh, Charlotte, Baltimore, Philadelphia, NYC, Newark, etc.) within an hour's drive of major airports.
