This Strategic Account Manager role focuses on the West Coast (California, Oregon, Washington, Nevada, Arizona) and targets enterprise accounts in the Developer/DevSecOps and Cybersecurity buyer segments. You will own a book of named enterprise accounts, driving both expansion within existing customers and building net-new pipeline in defined target accounts. Key responsibilities include: - Managing the full sales lifecycle from prospecting through close for enterprise accounts - Owning expansion and retention across a multi-year install base - Building and closing net-new pipeline within named target accounts - Executing strategic account plans focused on expansion, renewals, and growth - Prospecting and closing greenfield enterprise accounts - Leading complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles using MEDDIC/MEDDPICC methodology - Conducting executive-level discovery aligned to business, security, and technology priorities - Positioning Checkmarx's Application Security and Agentic AI solutions - Partnering with Sales Engineering, Customer Success, and leadership - Maintaining accurate pipeline and forecasting in Salesforce The role requires a proven track record in enterprise software sales, specifically with Developer/DevSecOps or Cybersecurity buyers. Success is measured by quota attainment ($1M–$1.5M annually), self-sourced pipeline generation, and demonstrated ability to both expand existing accounts and close new logos. Year-one success includes durable account ownership, proven hunting capability, and at least one closed-won or expanded logo by Q3.
