Salary: USD 120,000 - 140,000 / annual
Pulley is an AI-powered permitting platform that helps architects, builders, and retailers accelerate commercial projects across the US. The company eliminates costly delays in permitting—historically the slowest part of building—by providing intelligence and expert guidance across 19,000+ jurisdictions. Pulley supports major brands like J.Crew, Solidcore, and Hibbett Sports, as well as data center buildouts and EV charging networks.
As a Strategic Account Lead, you will own 1–2 of Pulley's largest enterprise accounts, serving as the primary point of contact and internal champion for the customer. You will be responsible for maintaining visibility across the customer's full project portfolio, coordinating with internal teams (Regional Leads, Permit Ops, Product, Operations), and ensuring alignment between customer needs and internal delivery. Your core responsibilities include:
• Portfolio Visibility & Program Coordination: Maintain a current view of the account's project portfolio, meet regularly with Regional Leads to assess project health, flag delivery risks early, and ensure internal teams have necessary context.
• Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain trust with decision-makers through proactive, consistent communication. Lead regular check-ins and monthly account reviews, partner on QBRs and renewals, and represent the customer in city and AHJ meetings alongside Permit Ops.
• Stakeholder Onboarding & Program Growth: Onboard new stakeholders on both sides as the account scales, training customer team members and coordinating with external collaborators like architects and engineers of record.
• Internal Resource & Cross-Functional Enablement: Act as the voice of the customer internally, translating customer feedback into actionable input for product, operations, and sales teams. Help unblock issues and drive process improvements.
This is a remote role designed for someone embedded near their customer. You will measure success by the customer's outcomes and be energized by being their most trusted partner.
REQUIREMENTS:
• 4–8 years of experience in project management, program management, or related client-facing role
• Background in construction, real estate, architecture, permitting, or related field—fluency with project status, permitting terminology, risk identification, and credible communication required
• Genuinely customer-obsessed mindset; proactive approach; ability to build deep stakeholder relationships
• Demonstrated ability to manage large, complex projects or programs with concurrent workstreams
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to translate complex updates into clear, confidence-building customer language
• Highly organized with sharp attention to detail; ability to build systems to prevent slippage
• Comfortable working cross-functionally without direct authority; skilled at alignment, routing information, and driving outcomes through influence
NICE TO HAVE:
• Experience in high-growth startup environments
• Familiarity with project management tools (Airtable, Notion, Asana) and data dashboards
• AI fluency and comfort with no-code tooling
• Experience supporting large-scale commercial programs (national retail rollouts, big-box retail, warehouse/distribution construction)
