Pulley is an AI-powered platform that streamlines commercial permitting across 19,000+ jurisdictions, helping architects, builders, and retailers accelerate project timelines. The company works with major brands like J.Crew, Solidcore, and Hibbett Sports, as well as large-scale data center and EV charging network projects.
As a Strategic Account Lead, you will own 1–2 of Pulley's largest enterprise accounts, serving as the primary point of contact and internal champion for the customer. You'll be responsible for maintaining visibility across the customer's full project portfolio, coordinating with internal teams (Regional Leads, Permit Ops, Product, Operations), and ensuring seamless communication between customer needs and internal delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
- Portfolio Visibility & Program Coordination: Maintain a current view of the account's project portfolio, identify patterns and risks early, and ensure internal teams have the context needed to support the customer effectively. Conduct regular check-ins with Regional Leads on project health.
- Customer Relationship Management: Be the trusted go-to contact for customer decision-makers. Lead regular account reviews, partner on quarterly business reviews (QBRs) and renewals, and represent the customer in city and AHJ (Authority Having Jurisdiction) meetings alongside the Permit Ops team.
- Stakeholder Onboarding & Program Growth: Onboard new stakeholders on both sides as the account expands, training the customer's team and coordinating with external collaborators like architects and engineers of record.
- Internal Resource & Cross-Functional Enablement: Act as the voice of the customer internally. Translate customer feedback into actionable input for product, operations, and sales teams. Help unblock issues and advocate for process improvements that benefit the program.
This role is designed for someone genuinely customer-obsessed who treats the customer's goals as their own, stays proactive, and measures success by customer outcomes. You'll work remotely but be embedded with your customer, requiring flexibility to meet their needs.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 4–8 years of experience in project management, program management, or related client-facing role
- Background in construction, real estate, architecture, permitting, or related field; fluency with project status, permitting terminology, and risk identification
- Demonstrated customer obsession: proactive, trustworthy, energized by deep customer relationships
- Ability to manage large, complex programs with concurrent workstreams; comfort zooming in and out as needed
- Strong written and verbal communication; ability to translate complex updates into clear, confidence-building customer language
- Track record of building genuine stakeholder relationships with credible presence
- Highly organized with sharp attention to detail; systems-oriented
- Comfortable working cross-functionally without direct authority; skilled at alignment, routing information, and driving outcomes through influence
NICE TO HAVE:
- Experience in high-growth startup environments
- Familiarity with project management tools (Airtable, Notion, Asana) and data dashboards
- AI fluency and comfort with no-code tooling
- Experience supporting large-scale commercial programs (national retail rollouts, big-box retail, warehouse/distribution construction)
