Datadog is seeking a Strategic Account Executive to target and close new business with the company's largest, most strategic customers and prospects in the Iberia region. You will focus on uncovering pain points organizations face as they operate in or migrate to cloud environments at scale, and deliver appropriate Datadog solutions.
Key responsibilities include prospecting into large Fortune 1000 companies while running an efficient sales process, maintaining and owning specific relationship maps for your territory, developing deep comprehension of customer business needs, and negotiating favorable pricing and business terms by selling value and ROI. You will handle existing customer expectations while expanding reach and depth into your assigned territory, demonstrate resourcefulness when faced with complex challenges, and identify robust business drivers behind all opportunities. High forecasting accuracy and consistency are essential.
You bring 5+ years of closing experience with a mix of field selling in mid-market and enterprise segments. You have a track record of meeting or exceeding direct sales goals of $1M+ with average deal sizes of $100k+. You can demonstrate a methodology to prospect and build pipeline independently, have experience working for innovative tech companies (SaaS, IT infrastructure preferred), and are experienced in selling into large Fortune 1000 companies with the ability to win new logos. The role requires regular travel to client sites within your area and other regions using various modes of transportation.
