Salary: USD 113,000 - 150,000 / annual

Datadog is seeking an experienced Federal Civilian Sales Executive to lead enterprise sales efforts into U.S. government agencies and Fortune 1000 companies transitioning to cloud infrastructure. This role focuses on the public sector segment, a high-growth opportunity within Datadog's expanding federal division. You will prospect into large enterprises, build and maintain relationship maps across your territory, and develop deep understanding of customer business drivers. Key responsibilities include negotiating favorable pricing and terms with large commercial enterprises, demonstrating ROI and value, handling existing customer expectations while expanding territory reach, and maintaining high forecasting accuracy. You'll identify robust business drivers behind opportunities, demonstrate resourcefulness with complex challenges, and guide deals to closure with customer validation. The role requires 5+ years of closing experience with a mix of mid-market and enterprise field selling. You must have a track record of meeting/exceeding direct sales goals of $1M+ with average deal sizes of $100k+. Experience prospecting and building pipeline independently is essential, as is background in innovative tech companies (SaaS, IT infrastructure preferred). You must be comfortable selling into Fortune 1000 companies and winning new logos. Regular travel to client sites within your region and beyond is required, using various transportation modes. Datadog operates as a hybrid workplace.
