Salary: USD 124,000 - 165,000 / annual
Datadog is seeking a Strategic Account Executive to target and close new business with the company's largest, most strategic customers and prospects. You'll focus on uncovering pain points organizations face as they operate in or migrate to cloud environments at scale, and deliver appropriate Datadog solutions.
Key responsibilities include prospecting into Fortune 1000 companies while running an efficient sales process, maintaining and owning relationship maps for your territory, developing deep comprehension of customer business needs, and negotiating favorable pricing and terms with large commercial enterprises by selling value and ROI. You'll handle existing customer expectations while expanding reach and depth into your assigned territory, demonstrate resourcefulness when facing complex challenges, and maintain high forecasting accuracy.
You'll identify robust business drivers behind all opportunities and have an intuitive sense of the necessary steps to close business and gain customer validation.
Ideal candidates have 5+ years of closing experience with a mix of field selling in mid-market and enterprise segments. You should have a track record of meeting or exceeding direct sales goals of $1M+ with average deal sizes of $100k+. You'll demonstrate a proven methodology for prospecting and building pipeline independently, have experience working for innovative tech companies (SaaS, IT infrastructure preferred), and proven success selling into Fortune 1000 companies to win new logos.
The role requires regular travel to client sites within your area and other regions using various modes of transportation. Datadog operates as a hybrid workplace to support work-life harmony.
