OpenAI's Marketing team is seeking a Startup Content Marketing Manager to drive awareness and engagement with founders and builders using OpenAI's products and platform. This is a high-agency, hands-on individual-contributor role focused on the startup ecosystem. You will own content campaigns end-to-end: from initial founder conversations through creative development, production, distribution, and performance measurement. Your work will span founder profiles, customer stories, practical guides, product demos, and multi-channel campaigns across social, email, events, and partner communities. Key responsibilities include: - Building relationships with startup founders and technical teams, getting hands-on with their products to uncover compelling stories and lessons applicable to other builders - Owning defined startup content campaigns from ideation through publication and results tracking - Supporting co-marketing programs with startup customers and ecosystem partners - Creating and coordinating diverse content formats (profiles, guides, demos) across multiple channels - Partnering with field, events, product marketing, and communications teams to ensure accuracy, distinctiveness, and audience relevance - Developing editorial calendars, briefs, and repeatable workflows that accelerate idea-to-publication cycles - Defining success metrics, tracking performance, and iterating based on audience feedback and data You should have 4+ years of B2B, content, customer, or integrated marketing experience, with demonstrated success working with startup, founder, builder, or developer audiences. You'll need a portfolio of content campaigns or co-marketing programs you've led, showing measurable results and clear learnings. Strong project ownership, decision-making under ambiguity, and cross-functional collaboration are essential. You're a skilled storyteller who can explain technical concepts clearly while preserving accuracy and interest. Deep curiosity about technology and AI, with hands-on product experience, is required.
