Graphcore is a leading innovator in AI compute hardware and infrastructure, part of the SoftBank Group. We are seeking an experienced Staff UEFI Firmware Engineer to design, develop, and deploy UEFI-based firmware for our hyperscale AI server platforms.
This role focuses on developing system firmware responsible for platform initialization, hardware configuration, and reliability features across large-scale data center deployments. You will work on foundational firmware that enables reliable server platform bring-up and operation for Graphcore's AI compute infrastructure.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design, develop, and deploy UEFI-based firmware for hyperscale server platforms
- Develop system firmware for platform initialization and hardware configuration
- Implement reliability and monitoring features for data center deployments
- Collaborate with silicon engineering, hardware design, BMC firmware, validation, and platform architecture teams
- Ensure firmware quality and performance across Graphcore's AI infrastructure
You will be part of a globally recognized team of firmware engineers, silicon designers, and systems architects working on next-generation AI computing systems. The Firmware Engineering team is central to enabling reliable operation of Graphcore's specialized AI processors and data center hardware.
This is a senior individual contributor role requiring deep expertise in UEFI firmware development, server platform architecture, and large-scale system integration. You will guide technical direction and mentor junior engineers while maintaining hands-on involvement in critical firmware development.
