ServiceNow is seeking a Senior Technical Writer to develop and maintain user-focused technical documentation for multiple product features and applications. You will work closely with engineering and product management teams to align documentation with established content strategy, while contributing to the evolution of ServiceNow's content development processes, DITA-based information model, and writing standards.
In this role, you will develop deep expertise in the ServiceNow product ecosystem and the specific product area you support. You'll provide strategic input to shape future content strategy for your product or business unit, and demonstrate leadership by mentoring other writers, adapting to changing priorities, and facilitating collaboration across diverse cross-functional teams.

REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of work experience in technical communication
- Experience leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving (using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI's potential impact)
- Demonstrated English language proficiency (assessed via HackerRank for grammar, sentence structure, and clear, user-centric, procedural writing)
- Understanding of content development life cycles and processes
- Portfolio samples of prior technical writing demonstrating ability to communicate complex ideas and technical information clearly
- Experience authoring in DITA (Darwin Information Typing Architecture) or another XML-based structured authoring architecture
- Proven ability to independently plan, create, and deliver documentation in fast-paced, globally distributed software development environments
- Ability and eagerness to demonstrate leadership by mentoring writers, adapting quickly to changing priorities, and helping cross-functional teams collaborate effectively
