Salary: USD 250,000 - 300,000 / annual
Temporal Technologies is seeking a Staff Solutions Architect for the Growth team to serve as the primary customer-facing technical leader in the Western region. This role bridges sales and engineering, working directly with prospects and customers to evaluate application fit for Temporal's distributed systems platform and showcase technical advantages of their cloud service.
Key responsibilities include collaborating with prospects to assess platform suitability, educating customers on technical benefits and limitations, positioning Temporal against competing technologies, fostering adoption within customer engineering organizations, partnering with Account Executives on account strategy, and managing relationships with technical decision-makers.
You'll bring exceptional technical communication skills (presenting, whiteboarding, writing), deep understanding of distributed systems design and best practices, and proficiency in building prototypes using Temporal's supported languages (Java, Go, TypeScript, Python, C#, PHP). You'll need firm grasp of production operational considerations (security, reliability, performance, cost, operations), ability to advise on architectural patterns, experience with major cloud providers, and strategic advisory capability to sales teams on scoping, sizing, and technical fit.
The role requires residence in the Western Time Zone, with San Francisco and Denver preferred. You'll serve as a strategic technical advisor, helping customers expand production applications using Temporal and owning key technical relationships. This is a high-impact position integral to company success, combining deep technical expertise with customer-facing leadership.
