As Staff Solutions Architect for the Growth team, you'll be Temporal's primary customer-facing technical leader in the Western region (San Francisco and Denver preferred). You'll work directly with prospects and customers to determine if their applications are well-suited for Temporal's platform and showcase the technical advantages of the cloud service.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with prospects to assess application fit for Temporal's platform
- Educating customers and prospects on technical benefits and limitations
- Positioning Temporal against competing technologies and architectural patterns
- Fostering adoption and expansion of Temporal in production environments within customer organizations
- Partnering with Account Executives on comprehensive account plans
- Managing relationships with technical decision-makers to ensure they leverage Temporal's capabilities
- Serving as a strategic technical advisor to Sales on scoping, sizing, and technical fit
You'll need exceptional technical communication skills (presenting, whiteboarding, writing), deep understanding of distributed systems design principles, and proficiency in building prototypes using Temporal's supported languages (Java, Go, TypeScript, Python, C#, PHP). Strong grasp of production operational considerations (security, reliability, performance, cost, operations) and experience with major cloud providers required. You'll provide insightful architectural guidance on application patterns and platform architectures.
Compensation: $250,000–$300,000 total (70% base, 30% variable), plus equity participation. Benefits include unlimited PTO, 12 holidays + 2 floating holidays, 100% medical/dental/vision premium coverage, 401(k), and learning/development stipends.
