The engineering team is building world-class infrastructure to automate one of the most regulated spaces in financial services. Team members come from Google, Facebook, Spotify, Oscar Health, and Twilio. You'll join a small, tight-knit group developing flexible backend architecture to accurately handle billions of dollars at scale while creating a great user experience for homeowners managing mortgages through a platform that delivers features quickly and with quality. As a Staff Software Engineer, you will learn new concepts and technologies quickly, applying them to challenging problems. You'll design and build robust, extensible infrastructure to handle evolving and complex federal, state, and agency regulations. You'll dive deep to understand the inner workings of a highly complex industry and work cross-functionally with Product and Design to define the best customer experience. The tech stack includes Python, React, Docker, Kubernetes, and Google Cloud Platform. Ideal candidates have 7+ years of software engineering experience building quality applications at scale, strong communication skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally balancing product and technical requirements. Experience building scalable systems from scratch with fast turnaround, web/mobile application development, large-scale distributed systems, or infrastructure management is valued. Excellent time management and ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment are essential.
