The company partners with advisors nationwide to help them grow, optimize resources, and deliver superior client outcomes. We are hiring a Staff Site Reliability Engineer to join our Platform team during an exceptional growth phase. This role focuses on performance and resilience of robust backend systems across all product teams. You will collaborate closely with engineering leadership, product managers, and cross-functional teams to solve challenging technical problems and deliver exceptional solutions. You will contribute to shared infrastructure that benefits the entire organization. Key responsibilities include: - Mentor and guide teams in implementing secure coding practices to ensure code is both performant and resilient against security vulnerabilities - Implement best practice observability with Open Telemetry, logging, and standard SLOs - Own the Incident Response process design and follow-ups - Employ automated testing practices to ensure high-quality code You bring 7+ years of experience building scalable backend services at B2B financial services, fintech, or SaaS organizations. Required technical skills include proficiency with Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs; expertise in microservices architecture and distributed systems; strong SQL knowledge (Postgres, MySQL); and familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm. You understand the importance of performant and reliable systems and possess strong communication skills with an ego-less confidence and creative problem-solving approach. Bonus qualifications include expertise with AI (Claude) best practices, AWS cloud infrastructure, managing tabletop exercises, CI/CD pipelines in GitLab, and familiarity with Terraform, Debezium, Temporal, and Open Telemetry. Knowledge of brokerage platforms and financial services industry is a plus. This is a hybrid role based in Los Angeles (Culver City) or San Francisco Bay Area (FiDi), with an expectation of being in the office at least three days per week.
