Groups Recover Together is seeking a Staff Provider (Physician, NP, or PA) to deliver telemedicine-based medication-assisted treatment (MAT) and clinical support for members in early recovery from substance use disorders. This is a 30-hour/week remote role based in Tennessee, with a structured schedule (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, 10am–8pm ET).
You will serve dual clinical functions: (1) rapid-access intake provider, conducting initial assessments and initiating buprenorphine/naloxone therapy for new members during weeks 1–4 of treatment, and (2) longitudinal maintenance provider, managing a panel of established members through monthly group medical visits and individual consultations via telemedicine. You will work alongside experienced providers, counselors, and support staff to remove barriers to early recovery engagement and maintain member safety and treatment continuity.
Key responsibilities include conducting intake medical assessments, prescribing and managing MAT medications, maintaining detailed clinical documentation (HIPAA-compliant), coordinating care transitions with community providers, providing on-call coverage for colleagues, and participating in the development of new medical service lines. You will also assist with provider onboarding and training as the organization expands into new markets.
The role demands comfort with telemedicine technology, strong clinical judgment, flexibility, empathy, and a member-first mindset. You will be expected to become licensed in multiple states to support Groups' geographic expansion. Administrative duties (approximately 15% of time) include documentation, prescription management, schedule coordination, and policy compliance.
