Travel to test sites is required as needed. Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Electrical Engineering, plus 12+ years of propulsion engineering experience on air vehicles (manned or unmanned). You must have hands-on experience with jet engines in the 250–20,000 lbf thrust class, proven experience leading propulsion system integration as a technical authority, and expertise in thermodynamic engine cycle modeling. Strong CAD design skills, knowledge of manufacturing methods (machining, sheet metal, composites, 3D printing, injection molding), and the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret security clearance are essential. Preferred qualifications include proficiency in NX/Teamcenter, Python, MATLAB, and IADs; hands-on jet engine testing experience; prior work at a jet engine OEM or supplier; knowledge of FADEC and Engine Management Systems; machine shop procurement experience; and an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance.
