IonQ is seeking a Staff Product Marketing Manager for Quantum Sensing to lead go-to-market strategy for one of the company's most technically sophisticated product areas. Reporting to the Head of Product Marketing, Quantum Platform, you will shape how IonQ's quantum sensing portfolio—including sensing, timing, navigation, and PNT (Positioning, Navigation, and Timing) capabilities—is understood and positioned in the market.
You will translate advanced quantum sensing technology into differentiated positioning, launch strategies, and revenue-driving narratives that accelerate market adoption, support pipeline growth, and strengthen IonQ's position in emerging quantum markets. This role operates at the intersection of product, engineering, sales, marketing, and leadership, requiring you to connect product strategy to market strategy and ensure launches and messaging reflect clear, credible, technically accurate, and commercially relevant narratives.
Key responsibilities include owning the narrative, positioning, and messaging for Quantum Sensing products; leading go-to-market strategy and launches; driving cross-functional alignment; serving as a strategic market partner to product and engineering leadership; and influencing launch priorities, roadmap communication, and product strategy through customer insight, competitive intelligence, and market feedback.
You will help connect technical development decisions to customer needs, competitive dynamics, buyer behavior, and market opportunity. The role emphasizes strategy and execution on a highly effective team that uses AI-assisted workflows to accelerate production and create time for strategic work, customer insight, and competitive analysis.
The ideal candidate is independently driven, deeply collaborative, customer-voice driven, technically curious, and comfortable operating with autonomy in highly technical and evolving markets. You will work with government, defense, aerospace, critical infrastructure, and advanced technology customers. Travel up to 5% required. Position is hybrid from either Pleasanton, CA or Denver, CO office.
