Wealthsimple, Canada's leading financial innovator with 4M+ users and $155B+ in assets under administration, is seeking a Staff Product Manager to own the Connectivity Platform—a critical infrastructure spanning Brokerage & Bank Linking and Public API capabilities.
In this role, you'll set the long-term strategy for how Wealthsimple connects to the broader financial ecosystem and turns that vision into a reliable, scalable, differentiated platform. You'll own two major areas:
Brokerage & Bank Linking: End-to-end experience for clients connecting external bank and brokerage accounts, including automated and manual flows, institution routing (Plaid, Flinks, WST in-house connector), error recovery, and AI-powered self-healing. You'll improve connection success rates, manage vendor relationships, and balance conversion against fraud and operational load.
Public API: Strategy and roadmap for Wealthsimple's external data connectivity, enabling clients to permission their financial data to third-party services. You'll define authentication, consent, permissions, and partner integration capabilities, positioning Wealthsimple as the financial institution where clients have maximum control over their data.
You'll need strong product thinking across platform infrastructure, external ecosystems, and client experience. Ideal candidates bring experience owning platforms, APIs, or developer products with metric-attached outcomes (conversion, success rate, reliability); technical depth to collaborate with engineers on APIs, authentication, data models, and architecture; experience managing external vendors and making build-vs-buy decisions; comfort treating reliability as product work; ability to weigh growth against fraud and compliance; strong analytical instincts; and excellent cross-functional leadership across Engineering, Design, Security, Legal, Compliance, Operations, and external partners.
