n8n is seeking a Head of Pricing and Monetization to build and own pricing strategy as a deliberate, data-informed growth lever across the platform. This is the company's first dedicated pricing hire, offering significant scope to shape monetization across community (1.5M+ users), self-serve, and Enterprise tiers globally.
Key responsibilities include:
Build the analytical foundation for pricing by developing models connecting unit economics, agent run costs, willingness-to-pay, gross margin, and customer value. Maintain competitive and market intelligence in a rapidly evolving category. Run pricing experiments and document learnings.
Design pricing and packaging architecture across community, self-serve, and Enterprise tiers, plus add-ons (startup, charity plans). Design pricing for new SKUs and consumption-based models as the product evolves around AI Assistant and n8n Connect. Build packaging frameworks and decision tools for product teams.
Drive cross-functional pricing decisions with Product, Sales, Marketing, Finance, RevOps, and Data. Own end-to-end rollout of major pricing changes. Build and maintain pricing frameworks including list pricing, discount guardrails, decision rubrics, grandfathering rules, and usage-based billing decisions.
Required experience: 6+ years in B2B SaaS pricing, monetization, or commercial strategy with at least one full pricing model transition cycle. Hands-on design and rollout of consumption-based, outcome-based, or AI-native pricing at $100M+ ARR companies. Fluency in both self-serve/PLG and Enterprise sales-led motions. Deep analytical rigor with financial modeling expertise. Billing fluency (event metering, rating, entitlements, proration, revenue recognition). Understanding of developer and technical buyer value assignment. Ability to build frameworks that empower product teams independently. Strong cross-functional influence skills.
Nice-to-have: Formal pricing training (Simon-Kucher or similar), developer tools experience, open source or freemium background.
