Framer is seeking a Staff Product Engineer to drive technical direction across its React-based design and code ecosystem. In this role, you'll lead complex projects spanning multiple product teams—including the core editor, canvas, plugins, and CMS—while setting architectural decisions that enable other engineers to build on your work.
You'll translate ambitious product ideas into high-quality, shippable solutions by partnering closely with engineers, designers, and leadership to identify and solve the hardest technical and product challenges. A key part of the role is raising the bar across teams through mentoring, code reviews, and establishing shared engineering standards. You'll also spot opportunities to improve how the team builds, not just what it builds.
You bring 9+ years of software engineering experience at product companies, with deep expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, and React. You have a proven track record of driving projects that span multiple teams or domains, and strong knowledge of automated testing and QA. Experience with browser optimization, compiler technology, or UX design is a bonus.
