As Staff Product Designer, you will own design end-to-end across your product areas, from customer research and problem definition through implementation, launch, and iteration. You'll shape product direction by working closely with engineering, customer experience, and the CEO to identify worthwhile problems and explore possibilities. Your work will connect individual releases into a coherent product experience.
Key responsibilities include staying close to customers through direct user research and observation, exploring and prototyping different approaches to evaluate behavior and usability, and creating clear, polished interfaces grounded in deep understanding of customer workflows and pain points. You'll integrate AI throughout your design process—from research and ideation through prototyping and final design. You'll also improve shared design patterns, provide useful feedback to peers, and help the team produce better work overall.
Design plays a central role at Aleph in making financial complexity understandable and creating a category-defining product.
REQUIREMENTS:
- At least 7 years of exceptional product design work with a portfolio demonstrating strong product thinking, interaction design, and visual craft in shipped work
- Strong skills across the full design process: leading research, exploring approaches, building realistic prototypes, delivering detailed designs, and working through implementation details
- Curiosity about difficult problems and ability to learn how complex systems work, then find ways to make them easier for users to understand and use
- Leadership through the work: setting direction, making tradeoffs with partners, improving outcomes across projects, and owning decisions while remaining open to reconsideration
- Practical experience working with AI as part of your design practice; ability to explain where AI helps, assess results, and adapt your approach based on the task
- Strong communication skills, ability to give and receive useful feedback, and commitment to staying involved until details work
