Giga is hiring a Staff Product Designer to own experiences across significant product surface areas. The company recently raised $61M in Series A funding and works with Fortune 500 customers (including DoorDash) to deploy real-time AI agents for customer experience automation across voice, chat, and email in regulated enterprise environments. In this role, you will translate complex enterprise needs into intuitive experiences for conversational and agentic interfaces that have no established design playbook. You'll serve as the directly responsible designer for large product surface areas, lead customer research to inform product strategy, and author design system evolution. You'll set quality standards collaboratively with design and engineering leaders, mentor designers (approximately 20% of your time), participate in hiring, and help leadership initiate large novel initiatives. You'll also influence prioritization and present evidence-based design decisions to stakeholders. Giga's platform handles millions of calls monthly for Fortune 100 companies with 90%+ resolution rates. The company is building toward 98% automation of enterprise operations, with self-improving agents that expand their capabilities with every interaction. The technical differentiation includes sub-500ms multi-party orchestration and emotional intelligence capabilities. The market opportunity is substantial: customer support automation is projected to grow from $3B to $47B by 2034, with expansion into healthcare, finance, and beyond. The team was founded by Forbes 30 Under 30 founders and is backed by Redpoint and Y Combinator. You'll have autonomy to make true impact with clear momentum and a path forward. REQUIREMENTS: - Approximately 8+ years of product design experience with demonstrated success on zero-to-one products across multiple industries - Track record of raising the quality bar of product experience while meeting business metrics and goals - Proven ability to design novel interaction experiences that scale across use cases, personas, and customer lifecycles - Strong skills across the product design spectrum: user research, quantitative product insights, complex UX systems, visual design, and delight/magic moments - Experience mentoring other teammates and junior designers in craft, strategy, and execution - Strong collaboration and communication skills across GTM, engineering, and customer teams - Ability to capture attention and build trust with teammates and leadership - "Yes, and" attitude with optimism and positivity under pressure BONUS QUALIFICATIONS: - Experience designing AI-native products where models, agents, or generative UX are core to the product - Understanding of designing for non-deterministic systems - Fluency with AI tooling in design workflow (prompt-driven design, AI-assisted prototyping, research synthesis) - Technical lean: design engineering, high-fidelity prototyping in code, or front-end experience (React or similar) - Ability to communicate with technical stakeholders in their language
