Relativity Space is building Terran R, a next-generation rocket designed to deliver payloads to orbit and unlock new opportunities in space exploration and innovation. The Launch team operates at the intersection of all major aspects of the vehicle—from stages and payloads to ground systems, launch, landing, and refurbishment—with operations centered at Cape Canaveral. As Staff Launch Fluids Engineer, you will own the design, fabrication, operation, and maintenance of Terran R's launch pad and support facilities. Your core responsibilities include: • Design launch pad propellant and gas infrastructure systems, including fluid system architecture, computational modeling, pipe stress analysis, fabrication drawings, process and instrumentation diagrams, component specifications, and detailed work instructions. • Supervise construction, activation, commissioning, and initial operations of these critical facilities. • Solve technically challenging problems across multiple disciplines under varying programmatic pressures, collaborating with cross-functional teams across propulsion, manufacturing, software, avionics, and corporate functions. • Contribute to defining operational playbooks and processes for high-cadence launch operations and vehicle reuse. You will work at a unique inflection point: early enough to shape the product, process, and culture, but far enough along that Terran R is tangible and gaining momentum. The Cape is the only place where all systems come together, offering unmatched exposure and responsibility. This role demands autonomy, ownership, and impact at every level—you're not executing tasks, but solving problems that haven't been solved before and seeing your work come to life in record time.
