Shield AI is seeking a Staff Field Solutions Engineer to serve as a customer-facing technical expert for Hivemind autonomy software across the Americas region. In this role, you will bridge Shield AI's technical capabilities and product roadmap with customer mission requirements, acting as a force multiplier for the business development team.
You will partner closely with Business Development, Product, Engineering, Customer Engagement, and Program teams to support technical demonstrations, customer engagements, RFIs, RFPs, white papers, and customer-specific solution development. Your responsibilities include translating complex customer mission needs into credible, technically feasible solutions; explaining advanced autonomy, mission software, simulation, and AI-enabled systems to defense and government customers; shaping technical demonstrations around specific mission objectives; and feeding customer insights back into product and engineering teams to inform roadmap priorities.
The ideal candidate brings a strong technical foundation in autonomy systems, mission-critical software, simulation environments, and AI-enabled systems. Direct experience with Department of Defense simulation environments, live-virtual-constructive training and test ecosystems, synthetic environments, image-generation systems, and/or synthetic data workflows is highly valued. You should be comfortable operating in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment and have the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
