Shield AI is seeking a Staff Field Solutions Engineer to serve as a customer-facing technical expert for Hivemind, its autonomy software platform for unmanned systems. The role focuses on supporting technical sales, customer engagements, demonstrations, and capture activities for international defense and security customers, with particular emphasis on the Middle East region.
Hivemind enables autonomous operation across complex mission environments, allowing aircraft and robotic systems to perceive, decide, coordinate, and execute with reduced operator burden. The Field Solutions Engineer will translate customer mission needs, operational constraints, and platform integration considerations into credible, technically feasible solution concepts.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting customer discovery, technical briefings, and demonstrations
- Responding to RFIs, RFPs, and technical interchange meetings
- Developing customer-specific solution concepts and white papers
- Advising on force modernization and integration into existing/future force structures
- Navigating regional operational priorities, stakeholder dynamics, and acquisition environments
The ideal candidate brings experience working with Middle East defense, security, aerospace, or government customers. Success requires technical credibility, strong communication skills, product knowledge, regional awareness, and the ability to connect autonomy capabilities to real customer missions across varied international operational environments. This is a customer-facing role requiring travel to support engagements across the Middle East and potentially beyond.
