Divergent 3D is seeking a Staff Cybersecurity Engineer to join their SOC operations team in a federal contractor environment. This is a hands-on technical role combining threat analysis with leadership responsibilities across IT and OT (operational technology) domains.
Key responsibilities include:
- Identify and analyze threats across the enterprise, serving as technical escalation point for complex cybersecurity incidents
- Tune SIEM detections and develop correlation searches, Network Intrusion Detection rules, and firewall logic
- Implement STIGs and other security baselines to corporate systems, architecture, and applications as directed by leadership
- Conduct post-incident reviews to identify architectural gaps and define security enhancements
- Provide proactive threat research and regularly report on cybersecurity threat intelligence
- Maintain risk posture across both IT and OT domains
The role requires deep hands-on expertise in SOC operations, threat analysis, and security engineering, with the ability to guide and mentor team members while maintaining individual technical contributions. This is a critical position for a company serving demanding aerospace and defense customers.
