ServiceTitan is seeking a Staff Corporate Software Engineer to take end-to-end ownership of technical vision and strategy for their engineering organization. In this role, you will serve as a technical leader and mentor, guiding engineers across teams through design reviews, code reviews, and knowledge sharing. You'll be responsible for major technical decisions within your squad, influencing team direction while continuing to contribute hands-on code alongside your peers. You will communicate technical tradeoffs to both engineering teams and non-technical stakeholders, establish and raise engineering quality standards, and lead complex, cross-team technical initiatives with minimal oversight. The role emphasizes mentorship, technical writing, and fostering a strong engineering culture. Required qualifications include 8+ years of senior engineering experience designing APIs, abstractions, and tools used by other engineers. You must have expert-level knowledge of the Microsoft .NET technology stack (C#, Java, ASP.NET MVC, Web APIs) and SQL databases (Postgres, Microsoft SQL Server). Strong proficiency in HTML5, JavaScript, and ideally TypeScript and React is essential. You should have hands-on daily experience with AI coding assistants (Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code) and a working understanding of how LLMs function practically—context windows, prompting, hallucination risks, and limitations. You'll need a strong track record of code review discipline, demonstrated ability to set engineering quality bars, and experience mentoring other engineers. A B.S., B.Tech, M.S., M.Tech, or PhD in Computer Science or equivalent is required. Nice-to-have skills include experience integrating AI/LLM APIs into product features, prompt engineering basics, establishing AI-tool usage guidelines, cloud infrastructure experience (AWS, GCP, Azure), and Kubernetes familiarity.
