Salary: USD 287,000 - 485,000 / annual
Ivo is a contract intelligence platform that uses AI to automate contract review and analysis for enterprise customers including Uber, Meta, Canva, IBM, and Shopify. The company recently raised Series B and has grown 800% in the past 12 months.
As a Staff Cloud/ML Ops Engineer, you will own and evolve Ivo's Kubernetes platform across AWS, GCP, and Azure. You'll design and operate multi-cluster, multi-region architectures with failover and disaster recovery strategies while maintaining secure customer isolation boundaries. Key responsibilities include building internal tooling for cluster provisioning and lifecycle management, standardizing environments from dev through staging to production, and designing strategies to isolate ML and API workloads while optimizing for cost, performance, and reliability.
You'll implement security and compliance controls at the platform layer, including RBAC, workload identity, and secrets management, while preserving data isolation aligned with residency requirements and auditability for enterprise customers. You'll partner closely with SRE and ML teams to ensure SLOs are realistic and enforceable, and support model deployment in production environments.
This is not a maintenance role—you'll build the foundational systems that keep the company running. You're encouraged to push the frontiers of LLM deployment and infrastructure innovation alongside the engineering team.
Required qualifications: minimum 7 years of experience with deep, hands-on production Kubernetes expertise (you've debugged at 2am, not just deployed). Strong experience with infrastructure as code (Pulumi, Terraform, etc.), cluster architecture, scheduling, networking, storage primitives, and failure modes in distributed systems. Experience managing multi-cluster or multi-region setups with GitHub CI/CD.
Ideal candidates are relentlessly resourceful, have a strong sense of urgency, bias toward action, and are excited about the startup adventure. Startup experience is preferred but not required.
