As Staff Applications Software Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting Ambiq's Apollo and Atomiq families of SoCs. This role works with hardware and software development teams, field engineering, and customers to develop software including example applications for evaluation hardware, device drivers, HAL updates, and Zephyr enablement.
Key responsibilities include debugging device-level software issues, supporting field engineering with customer issues, and creating customer-facing documentation such as application notes and software design guidelines. You will be a technical leader and mentor within the applications software domain, setting standards and best practices for embedded development.
The successful candidate should have a strong understanding of embedded development on Cortex-M MCUs, bare-metal and real-time operating systems, and familiarity with modern embedded toolchains and debugging techniques. Experience with IoT, edge AI, or low-power embedded systems is highly valued. You should be comfortable working across multiple geographies and time zones, collaborating with teams in Austin, Hsinchu, Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Singapore.
