ServiceNow is seeking a Staff AI Product Manager to own end-to-end product outcomes for the AP AI Specialist agent. This is a hands-on role where you'll build, prototype, and validate agent behavior directly with engineering rather than just writing specifications. You'll take ambiguous customer pain points and platform constraints, then figure out the right solution shape without waiting for fully-formed requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning complete product outcomes for AP AI Specialist, from conception through delivery
- Prototyping agent behavior, standing up demos, and validating feasibility with engineering before roadmap commitment
- Defining success criteria, evaluation scenarios, and confidence thresholds for agent behavior
- Using evaluation methodology as a real lever for product decisions, not a checkbox exercise
- Partnering with platform and orchestration teams on architecture tradeoffs (agent design, latency, oversight vs. automation) with sufficient technical depth to push back on unfeasible approaches
- Translating technical tradeoffs into clear language for engineering, architects, and executives
- Getting in front of real users early to validate assumptions before building further
- Creating structure and clarity in ambiguous situations, pulling work forward through credibility rather than process
This role requires someone who thrives in ambiguity, can prototype and get into the weeds with engineering, and understands how to scope and ship AI/agentic features. You'll work across distributed teams with flexibility in work location based on ServiceNow's work persona framework.
Requirements:
- 6-8+ years of product management experience with recent hands-on work shipping AI/agentic features
- Experience leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving (using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI's potential impact)
- Comfortable prototyping and working in the weeds with engineering: reviewing implementations, standing up demos, not just writing requirements
- Solid understanding of agent architectures—orchestration, tool use, multi-step reasoning—and how to translate that into a scoped roadmap
- Excellent communication skills, able to align engineering, architecture, and stakeholders with competing priorities
- AP/finance domain knowledge is a nice-to-have, not required
