You will own day-to-day accounting operations for this fast-growing marketplace, reporting to the Senior Manager of Accounting and working closely with the VP Finance and FP&A team. This is a hands-on role where you'll develop deep expertise in marketplace financial operations.
Key responsibilities:
• Accounts Payable: Process recruiter payouts and vendor bills, review expense reports and reimbursements against policy, and ensure approvals follow signatory and spend rules.
• Accounts Receivable: Prepare client invoices for placements, apply cash, track aging, and manage collections follow-up on overdue accounts.
• Placement Adjustments: Process refunds, credits, and recruiter clawbacks for fired, rescinded, and reneged offers in accordance with contract terms.
• Monthly Close: Prepare journal entries, accruals, and supporting schedules; reconcile Stripe activity (payouts, fees, refunds) to the general ledger; complete assigned balance sheet reconciliations.
• Audit & Tax Support: Organize and pull documentation for auditor requests and tax/payroll-related inquiries.
• Process Improvement: Document existing processes and identify opportunities to automate manual steps. The company uses AI heavily and expects finance to leverage it as well.
