Salary: USD 26 - 33 / hourly

Rocket Lab is an end-to-end space company building rockets, spacecraft, and critical subsystems. The Finance team manages all financial transactions, policies, compliance, and reporting for the organization. As a Senior Accounts Payable Specialist based onsite at Rocket Lab's Global headquarters in Long Beach, CA, you will be responsible for the full cycle of accounts payable functions and supporting the company's financial operations. Key responsibilities include: - Execute full-cycle accounts payable functions including three-way matching of invoices, receipts, and purchase orders - Ensure proper coding of invoices, obtain departmental approvals, and accurately enter transactions into the ERP system - Work cross-functionally to resolve discrepancies and unmatched items with Purchasing and Receiving departments - Review and process employee expense reports into the ERP system - Maintain GRNI (good receipt, no invoice) reports to ensure timely invoice clearance - Assist with vendor onboarding processes - Support month-end close activities - Perform data entry of invoices and process vendor payments - Maintain organized documentation of all AP records - Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders - Support the Transactional Accounting Manager and Accounting Operations Manager on ad-hoc projects The role operates in a fast-paced, high-volume environment requiring attention to detail and strong organizational skills. You will work in close collaboration with multiple departments to ensure accurate and timely financial processing. QUALIFICATIONS: Required: - 4+ years of accounts payable or related accounting experience - High School Diploma - Experience working in high-volume, fast-paced environments - Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Desired: - Associate's Degree in Accounting - Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, LN) - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Detail-oriented with logical and methodological problem-solving approach - Advanced proficiency in PC/MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Note: This position may require prolonged periods of sitting, standing, walking, and computer work, with occasional exposure to moderate levels of noise, dust, and fumes in production areas. ITAR compliance required: must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or eligible to obtain required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State/Commerce.
