You will join the EMEA Accounting team in Amsterdam as Operations Controller, leading accounting, control, and finance automation across 15+ countries. This is a hands-on leadership role in a fast-growing multinational environment, with the opportunity to build modern finance operations and shape autonomous finance practices. Key responsibilities: - Own monthly close timeliness, completeness, and accuracy across a growing multi-entity footprint, overseeing standardized schedules and checklists that scale with entity growth - Ensure accuracy of local revenue and COGS, including transfer pricing calculations based on approved methodology - Control cost, balance sheet, and liquidity through OPEX and T&E challenge, financial anomaly investigation, deposits, and cash flow review - Build and deliver an automation roadmap for the Accounting function within and outside the ERP by identifying manual, repeatable work and sequencing its removal - Enforce correct output and input VAT recording end-to-end based on strong technical acumen of EU and international VAT principles - Drive corrective actions across internal and external stakeholders to enforce correct financial and VAT accounting - Implement e-invoicing readiness for local continuous transaction control mandates - Partner with Business to capture new commercial models and contract structures before they hit the ledger, embedding them into standard accounting workflows; coordinate with FP&A to sharpen figures and inputs; collaborate with other back office functions on recurring compliance and ad hoc initiatives - Provide leadership through supervising and developing the Accounting team Requirements: - 5+ years of progressive accounting and operational finance experience in a high-growth company - Experience working in a multinational setting with cross-border reporting needs - Strong background in GAAP, financial reporting, and ERP systems - Proven experience applying VAT rules and VAT accounting across Europe - Top-level proficiency in deploying and overseeing automated finance tools, agent frameworks, and modern financial data stacks - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to coordinate across departments and manage external relationships - Exceptional organizational, prioritization, and planning skills with keen attention to detail
