OpenLoop is seeking a Sr. Staff People Partner to support revenue-generating and operations teams (Commercial, Marketing, Operations, Patient Support) at a telehealth company scaling care delivery across all 50 states.
You will serve as the primary people business partner to leaders managing quota-carrying sales and customer success teams, as well as high-volume contact center and medical assistant staff. This role requires fluency in two distinct organizational playbooks: commissioned sales/CS teams with visible performance metrics and variable compensation, and hourly patient support operations with scheduling and compliance complexity.
Key responsibilities include:
**Business Partnership & Org Design**: Partner with revenue and operations leaders on workforce planning, org design, span of control, territory changes, career pathing for sellers and CS professionals, and Patient Support staffing models. Advise on structural gaps and manager capability needs. Lead the people side of restructures and role eliminations.
**Performance Management**: Coach managers through performance conversations tied to unambiguous metrics (quota, CSAT, adherence, ticket volume). Run and improve performance review and calibration processes. Build performance documentation and PIP practices that withstand rapid business decisions.
**Variable Compensation & Career Architecture**: Partner with Compensation on job architecture, leveling, and Job Family Architectures for commissioned and non-exempt populations. Support leaders and employees through variable comp mechanics, plan changes, and disputed commissions. Design realistic career paths for sellers, CS, and contact center staff.
**Employee Relations**: Own ER matters end-to-end for assigned teams: intake, investigation, documentation, resolution. Handle ER patterns specific to commercial teams (sales events, high-performer issues, travel-related conduct, power dynamics). Build scalable ER workflows and know when to escalate to Legal.
**Data & Insight**: Analyze turnover, ramp, engagement, and headcount data to drive leader decisions. Focus on revenue-org metrics: regretted attrition among quota carriers, time to productivity, Patient Support turnover. Build documentation and operational infrastructure to scale the People function.
You will report to the Sr. Director, Talent Management and have significant autonomy to shape OpenLoop's evolving People Partner function with minimal legacy structure to navigate.
