bunch is building the operating infrastructure for private markets, combining AI-powered automation with regulatory expertise. The company operates across Berlin, London, Amsterdam, and Luxembourg with ~155 people, scaling to ~200 in 2027. You will own the operational and data backbone of the People function, managing core HR operations across four legal entities and multiple jurisdictions. Your responsibilities include end-to-end ownership of onboarding, offboarding, contracts, leaves, absence management, payroll coordination, and immigration cases. You'll design and implement automated, AI-supported workflows across Personio (HRIS) and Notion to eliminate manual work and ensure system integration. Key responsibilities: - Coordinate monthly payroll across Germany, UK, Netherlands, and Luxembourg with external providers, owning data accuracy and deadlines - Maintain compliance calendars and documentation, working with external counsel on employment law matters - Manage workforce administration across multiple contract types and locations - Serve as first line of support for employee policy, contracts, leave, and benefits questions - Own documentation and record-keeping for employee relations cases - Identify and drive improvement projects in People Operations processes - Maintain accurate HRIS data as single source of truth for strategic reporting You bring 4+ years of People Operations or HR administration experience in fast-paced, international startup environments. You have proven end-to-end ownership of operational topics, strong knowledge of German employment law (UK/Luxembourg law a plus), and experience supporting international workforces across different contract types and locations. You have payroll coordination experience with external European providers, a track record in automation and workflow integrations, hands-on HRIS experience (Personio preferred), and strong data literacy. Fluency in English required; German a plus.
