SingleStore is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Aura AI Platform team. You will design, build, and operate the infrastructure that powers customer workloads—including Notebooks, Jobs, Apps, AI Agents, and Model-serving—on top of SingleStore across multiple regions and clouds.
In this role, you'll work on distributed platform services managing container pools, resource scaling, routing, RBAC, billing, observability, and secure network access between clusters. You'll design and maintain the platform powering both internal and customer-facing intelligent services, leading complex cross-functional technical initiatives from conception through deployment while mentoring other engineers.
Key responsibilities include collaborating closely with product managers, designers, customers, and engineers to deliver high-quality experiences; driving engineering standards and best practices in system design, code quality, testing, observability, and CI/CD pipelines; and sharing on-call responsibilities to improve reliability, security, and cost-efficiency of cloud infrastructure.
You should have 4+ years of SaaS product experience, strong background with distributed systems (Golang, Python, or Rust), hands-on Kubernetes and containerized services expertise, and intellectual curiosity about investigating issues impacting business metrics. You'll need strong communication skills, passion for mentoring peers, and a collaborative, fast-paced mindset. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience is required.
Preferred qualifications include cloud infrastructure experience (AWS, Azure, GCP), background building developer platforms or ML platforms, React frontend experience, and prior mentoring or technical leadership experience.
