Salary: USD 180,000 - 214,000 / annual
Corelight is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to join its SLED (State, Local, Education, Defense) team, focusing on the Central Territory across North America. You will be the technical bridge between sales and customers, collaborating closely with account executives to understand customer needs, architect solutions, and deliver compelling product demonstrations and Proof of Value engagements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Partner with sales teams to provide technical guidance and tailored demonstrations of Corelight's network detection and response (NDR) platform
- Act as a trusted technical advisor to both technical and business stakeholders, translating complex security concepts into clear business value
- Design and implement deployment strategies across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments
- Lead technical discovery sessions and manage complex Proof of Concepts (PoCs) that showcase solution strength
- Engage directly with customers to understand their network security challenges and architect appropriate solutions
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and customer success teams to ensure smooth delivery and gather customer feedback
- Travel approximately 50% of the time to meet customers and support in-person engagements
You bring deep technical expertise in network security, with proficiency in TCP/IP, NDR concepts, and tools like Zeek/Suricata. You have approximately 5+ years of experience managing technical evaluations, translating complex networking and security concepts for diverse audiences, and demonstrating situational fluency in the cybersecurity landscape. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience) is required, with certifications such as CISSP or SANS preferred.
