Rubrik is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to provide technical leadership and business guidance to the regional sales team covering Illinois and Wisconsin. In this role, you will drive innovative technical programs, pipeline generation, customer demonstrations, and proof-of-concept engagements alongside Account Executives. You will evangelize, position, and architect Rubrik's data protection and cyber resilience solutions to enterprise customers.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide technical leadership and direction to customers and internal staff in developing integrated technology solutions
- Demonstrate technical expertise on Rubrik's products, distributed architectures, file systems, and competitive storage offerings in the SAN space
- Act as a technical expert and consultant, developing solutions that meet customer technology and business requirements
- Deliver technical and sales presentations to customer technical staff and senior management
- Serve as a trusted technology advisor and internal resource on technical issues within assigned market segments
- Lead technical sales calls and qualify sales opportunities based on technical requirements, competition, decision-making processes, and funding
- Build strong relationships with account teams, partners, and customers to support sales objectives
- Leverage corporate resources and personnel to advance team objectives
You will work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple calls and demonstrations daily with immediate follow-up. The role requires strong business acumen, experience engaging with C-level executives, and the ability to translate technology solutions into business value. Success in this position demands entrepreneurial spirit, resourcefulness, adaptability, and a "get it done" attitude.
Preferred qualifications include 5+ years of sales engineering experience in software or data center environments, fundamental knowledge of cloud data management, backup and disaster recovery, and data analytics. The ideal candidate is driven, energetic, hands-on, and thrives in dynamic, fast-moving settings.
