Dyno Therapeutics is seeking a Senior Research Associate to support the advancement of muscle AAV-based gene therapy programs. This is a hands-on molecular biology role focused on in vivo and in vitro research to identify and develop cutting-edge capsids for genetic medicine. You will be responsible for tissue processing and analysis from animal studies, including sample inventory, dissection of mammalian, non-human primate, and mouse tissues. Core technical responsibilities include nucleic acid extraction, purification, and enrichment; quantification assays (qPCR, RT-qPCR); next-generation sequencing library preparation with quality control; and histology workflows including tissue preparation, sectioning, staining, imaging, and analysis. You will maintain mammalian cell cultures and execute cell-based experiments to characterize muscle capsids and capsid libraries. The role requires detailed experimental documentation using electronic laboratory notebooks and LIMS systems, data analysis to identify technical issues, and cross-functional collaboration with Research Associates, Scientists, and Computational Biologists. Key qualifications include a BS or MS in biology, biochemistry, biomedical engineering, or related field, plus at least 3 years of post-graduate hands-on wet lab experience. You must have expertise in DNA/RNA purification and analysis protocols, experience handling complex biological samples, and strong attention to detail in executing protocols. Preferred experience includes AAV biology, gene therapy, viral vectors, NGS library prep, animal tissue processing for molecular analysis, histology workflows, and familiarity with ELN-LIMS software like Benchling.
