Obsidian Security is a leading SaaS security platform protecting 200+ global enterprises including Fortune 1000 companies. Founded in 2017 and backed by Greylock, the company secures SaaS applications like Microsoft 365 and Salesforce where business happens. With a growing partner ecosystem including SentinelOne, Databricks, and Google Cloud, Obsidian is scaling toward IPO readiness.
You will own two of the highest-leverage narratives at Obsidian: partnership value propositions and technical architecture differentiation. This senior individual contributor role sits at the intersection of alliances marketing and technical product marketing, with responsibility for competitive intelligence.
In the Alliance Narrative pillar, you will develop joint positioning and messaging for strategic technology alliances, build better-together value propositions that help customers and partners understand adoption, and lead product marketing for joint launches and co-marketing campaigns. You'll support GTM models including marketplace, co-sell, and integration motions with positioning, content, and enablement. You'll create practical enablement materials—solution briefs, pitch decks, objection-handling guides, co-branded campaigns—that alliance sellers actually use, and drive co-marketing programs that deliver measurable pipeline contribution.
In Competitive Intelligence & Technical Positioning, you will own the competitive intelligence function by monitoring competitor products, architectures, and market signals, distilling them into actionable guidance for sales, product, and leadership. You'll build and maintain the compete program including battlecards, compete decks, objection handling, and win/loss insights. You'll articulate why Obsidian's architecture solves problems that point tools and adjacent platforms cannot, develop technical marketing content such as architecture narratives, technical briefs, blogs, webinars, and demos that prove differentiation, and bring competitive insights back into product and executive planning to sharpen roadmap and GTM strategy.
You bring 8+ years in product, technical, or partner marketing in cybersecurity or enterprise software, ideally with hands-on technical background. You are a competitive strategist who has built compete programs and turned competitor analysis into positioning the field trusts. You have experience in technology alliance marketing, building better-together narratives and joint launches. You think strategically, move quickly, and can help shape how Obsidian scales both partner marketing and competitive positioning.
